A new era of hope and relief begins

Nikapotha Maha Vidyalaya, located in the scenic Badulla District, serves a vibrant community of approximately 250 students and is supported by a dedicated team of 30 teaching staff. Despite its beautiful, ecologically rich surroundings, the school was struggling with an inadequate water supply system which critically affected the students.

Recognizing the urgency of this challenge, the Gammadda team has spearheaded the construction of a new water distribution system for the school. This essential project includes the installation of a 2000 liter stock tank, designed to ensure a consistent and reliable water supply. The foundation stone for this pivotal initiative was ceremoniously laid on May 31, 2024, marking the beginning of a transformative period for the school.

The successful completion of this project on September 11, 2024, was made possible through the generous contribution of the Airline Pilots' Guild of Sri Lanka. Their support has not only enhanced the infrastructure of Nikapotha Maha Vidyalaya but has also significantly improved the quality of life for its students and staff. With the new water supply system in place, the school can now provide a more conducive learning environment, reflecting the positive impact of community collaboration and charitable giving.
