Empowering Anamaduwa with Better Healthcare Solutions

The Anamaduwa Base Hospital plays a vital role in providing healthcare services, not only to residents of Anamaduwa but also to those from numerous surrounding villages. Serving nearly 500 patients daily, many of whom require treatment for kidney disease, the hospital is a lifeline for the community. However, with nearly 600 registered kidney patients, the hospital has faced significant challenges in meeting the growing demand for care.

In response to a request from the Chief Medical Officer, Gammadda, with the generous support of NEXT Manufacturing (Pvt) Ltd., has launched a transformative project to address these critical needs. The initiative includes:

• Renovating an existing building to establish a modern dialysis unit
• Constructing a facility to house a medical-grade water filtration system
• Supplying the hospital with essential medical equipment

Upon completion, this project will drastically reduce the need for patients to travel long distances for treatment, ensuring timely care and better health outcomes.

The project officially vested to the public on January 24, 2025, at the Anamaduwa Base Hospital, marking a significant milestone in improving healthcare accessibility and quality for the entire community.
