Residents of Parasangaswewa are experiencing an epidemic of Chronic Kidney Diseases due to their contaminated water supply.
Parasangaswewa, a village in Anuradhapura with 577 families, is facing a severe water crisis due to contamination from agricultural waste. This contamination has led to numerous cases of Chronic Kidney Disease among the villagers. Currently, residents are compelled to purchase expensive water from private suppliers.
Installation of an RO Plant in the village of Parasangaswewa using an existing water source. Construct Water Distribution Point for villagers with access to clean drinking water- free of harmful pollutants. Further, it will reduce the incidence rate of water borne illnesses in the resident population. Moreover, Gammadda will introduce a preventive and periodic maintenance plan to ensure project longevity by forming a Gammadda Saviya Society.
