Situated in the picturesque Matale district, Godaulpatha village has a rich 50-year history with agriculture as the main livelihood. Nearly 3000 people from seven surrounding villages must cross the Atambe canal for daily activities. During the rainy season, flash floods disrupt normal life, making it unsafe for children to attend school and farmers to market their crops. Additionally, villagers face constant threats from wild elephant attacks.
