Building on a Rock: Safe Shelter for Sriyani and her Children

Sriyani is a single mother of two who lived in Sigiriya in a tiny makeshift shack without any windows. She was left widowed last year when her husband died of a sudden heart attack. The meagre wages she earns as a daily wage labourer is not enough to put food on the table, let alone for the children's education. She made her pleas known to Gammadda. Gammadda, in partnership with a generous donor, invested in this family by building a home for them and securing the future of the young children who represent the hopes and dreams we have for our country.
