Gammadda declared open a clean water project in Rambakepuweva, Anuradhapura on Friday (7) morning as yet another effort taken by Gammadda to quench the thirst of those who are suffering.
The Rambakepuveva village, located in Anuradhapura Kebithigollawa Divisional Secretariat is home to more than 400 families and their main livelihood remains paddy farming.
However, due to lack of clean drinking water, the villagers have been facing problems for several decades now.
The decision was made to assist them in gaining access to clean drinking water after they voiced their concerns to Gammadda.
Therefore, Gamadda with the financial assistance of Harsha De Seram from Colombo 02, and Anoja Pradeepa, and Kanishka Priyantha De Silva from Colombo 6 stepped in to construct a drinking water project for the people in Rambakepuweva..
The water treatment projects was constructed with the expertise of the Sri Lanka Navy, and the advise of the Ministry of Health,.
