A Pre-School is needed to ensure children of Sinhaudahama GS Division have equal access to education at a cost of Rs. 5 million.
Sinhaudahama GS Division is located in the Thamandakuwa DS of Polonaruwa. This GS division is a community of 4 separate villages. The area is home to 380 families. Every year there are approx. 40-50 children of preschool age who attend preschool in the Funeral Society building. Due to other commitments and bookings the pre-school is only able to run twice a week- limiting learning opportunities for the children. GS division is a community of 4 separate villages. The villagers requested Gammadda for help in establishing a dedicated pre-school building- they have donated the necessary land. After consultation with Government Engineers and Early Childhood Learning Specialists- Gammadda is proceeding with the plans to establish a dedicated Pre-School for the village. The construction will be done using local labor under the supervision of an engineer- Gammadda will continue to provide logistical support. Gammadda will be monitoring and reporting on the progress of the Pre-School construction.
